Bringing your pet to a RoGi home

Bringing your pet to a RoGi home.
Dogs, cats, and the people who love them. Here’s what to know about bringing a pet to a RoGi Properties home, what we provide, what we ask, and how to make sure we match you with the right property.
If you’re being placed in temporary housing because of an insurance claim, or you’re relocating for work, or you just need a furnished home for a few months, your pet is probably coming with you. We understand that. We want them there too.
We get it, they’re family
When a family is displaced, by a fire, a storm, a pipe burst, whatever brought them to us, the last thing they need is to hear that their dog or cat can’t come along. We’ve seen firsthand how much stress temporary housing puts on a household, and separating someone from their pet only makes it worse.
So we don’t ask you to board your pet or leave them with a friend. We work with you to find a property that fits your whole family, four-legged members included.
What we ask
We keep things simple. There’s no thick packet of pet rules, no lengthy addendum to sign. We just ask for a few courtesies:
- Let us know you’re bringing a pet when you reach out. The earlier we know, the better we can match you with the right home. Some properties are better suited than others, and a heads-up helps us get it right the first time.
- Clean up after them in the yard. Our homes are cleaned and maintained between every stay. We ask that you do your part to keep the outdoor spaces in good shape while you’re there.
- Don’t leave them unattended for extended periods. If your pet isn’t used to a new environment, being left alone in an unfamiliar house can lead to anxiety, for them and for the furniture. Use your judgment.
That’s really it. We’re not going to hand you a list of restricted breeds or weigh your dog at the door. We trust our guests to be responsible pet owners, and that trust has worked well so far.
What’s waiting
Many of our properties already have features that make life with a pet easier. Here’s what you can generally expect:
- Fenced yards at most of our homes, so your dog has a safe place to go outside without a leash
- Hard flooring in common areas, tile, vinyl plank, or laminate that cleans up easily
- Easy-to-clean surfaces throughout, because we furnish our homes with real life in mind, not a magazine shoot
- Outdoor hose access for muddy paws after a rainy afternoon
That said, not every property is equally suited for every pet. A large dog that needs room to run is going to have a different experience than a cat who mostly sleeps on the couch. Reach out before you book and tell us what you need, we’ll help you find the right fit.
Good to know
Not every home is the same.
Some of our properties have fully fenced yards, hard floors throughout, and layouts that work naturally for pets. Others have carpet in bedrooms, smaller outdoor spaces, or shared fencing that may not be fully enclosed. If you’re bringing a pet, reach out before booking so we can match you with a home where everyone, two legs and four, will be comfortable.
A note for coordinators
If you’re an insurance adjuster, relocation coordinator, or anyone else placing a family in one of our homes, please let us know up front if pets are part of the household. It changes which properties we recommend.
We’ll prioritize homes with fenced yards, minimal carpet, and layouts that keep pet areas separate from sleeping areas when possible. The earlier we know, the smoother the placement goes. No surprises on move-in day, for anyone.
This isn’t about whether we allow pets. It’s about making sure the home we offer is the right one for the family we’re welcoming, all of them.
A family includes everyone who lives under the same roof. House rule, RoGi Properties
